Why We Need You – The Mission
- We are a well-established Chicago area tree and lawn care provider with 40+ years of experience and 30+ employees. We have served dozens of large commercial and municipal customers, as well as 10,000+ residential customers.
- We are organized into geographic districts and the District Managers have a high level of authority and responsibility. This includes sales, account management, operational planning, and oversight of operational execution. As a result, compensation is a highly competitive mix of base salary and commission.
- Mission #1 is to take care of our customers and employees. As a result, the DM role is very people-centric and requires a deep commitment to a Safety-First culture. DM’s will interact daily with the Company President, other DM’s, their crew teams, and customers. DMs must always be approachable, professional in appearance, and demonstrate a positive attitude when dealing with all internal and external individuals.
What You’ll Accomplish – Your Performance Objectives
- Objective 1: Deliver an outstanding customer experience
- Responsibility for the complete customer experience, from initial contact through to post-job customer support and follow-up
- Objective 2: Take care of and develop your team
- Participate actively in personnel recruitment, training, and retention
- Manage and supervise all personnel and equipment that is allocated to your district
- Objective 3: Contribute to the continuous improvement of all aspects of our business
- Identify, develop, and execute customer service and operational improvement strategies in collaboration with the Company President and other DM’s
- Utilize CRM software to drive effective and efficient communications and operations

- Technical and professional competency
- ISA Certified arborist with 2+ years of field experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in the green industry or related field is preferred but not required
- 1+ years of outside sales experience preferred (PHC and lawn care experience a plus
- CTSP certification or ability to pass exam within 1st year
- Class B CDL or ability to pass exam within 1st 90 days
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and other management software systems
- Excellent organizational skills: resourceful, persistent, and consistently follows through
