Diane Biersteker

Diane Biersteker serves as Owner/President of Human Resources Consulting. Over 30 years of experience as a Chief Officer in a growing company along with her experience starting two Human Resource departments provides HR Consulting clients with a strong business mind first. Diane’s expertise in Strategic and Tactical support provides “turn-key” service in all aspects of Human Resource Audits, Policy and Procedure, Recruiting and Hiring Practices, Personnel Development, Retention Approaches, Legal Compliance Issues, Managerial Support, Labor Relations, Executive Coaching & Guidance, as well as significant experience with Mergers & Acquisitions.

Diane previously served as Chief Administrative Officer for a top printing, packaging and promotional manufacturer, originally joining the company as a consultant, and creating its first Human Resources Department. She grew Human Resources to a team of 15+ HR professionals across the United States and Mexico to include 18 plants and 1900 employees. Working with the Executive team, a contemporary Human Resource organization was formed, serving as a true “strategic partner” with the Operations team of the corporation. She also held acquisition responsibility for due diligence through transition to full integration into the corporation for over 15 successful acquisitions.

In prior roles, Diane held the position of Vice President of Human Resources for a recreational boat manufacturer, initially hired as the first Human Resource professional to build an HR team servicing the corporate office, and three manufacturing plants.

Diane also served as Personnel Manager for a heavy construction equipment company with responsibilities to include all Human Resource functions and labor relations.

Diane graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Social Work. She has attended post-graduate classes, and Executive Training programs relating to Employment Law, Compliance, Strategic Planning, and Mergers & Acquisitions. Diane is a National member of SHRM, serves on the Board of Harbor Credit Union, and actively supports several local charities.

Michelle Szymik

Michelle Szymik joined Human Resources Consulting in 2017 as Senior Human Resources Consultant. Michelle has over twenty years of progressive HR management experience. Her broad range of technical HR knowledge and experience helps clients implement customized HR initiatives that achieve their specific business objectives Michelle is a dynamic and collaborative leader who enjoys helping clients improve employee engagement and organizational performance by utilizing a deep understanding of business, policies and regulations to strategically implement best practices.

Michelle graduated from Bellevue University in Bellevue Nebraska with a Masters of Science in Organizational Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Management of Human Resources. Michelle is also retired for the United States, Navy.

In her prior positions, Michelle has served as the HR Manager responsible for all functional areas of HR and training across multiple industries including distribution, call center, and professional services. .

Diane Haase

Diane Haase joined Human Resources Consulting in 2017 as Senior Human Resources Consultant. A Human Resource professional with more than 30 years of generalist experience working in both union and non-union environments as well as for profit and not-for-profit organizations. As a generalist, duties included day-to-day human resources activities as well as special projects. Duties often included developing curriculum and conducting training for employees and managerial staff on a variety of Human Resources topics as well as other areas of business.

Diane graduated from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, WI with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Diane previously served as Director, Human Resources for a Fortune 300 company manufacturer of specialty vehicles, as well as not-for-profit social service agency providing counseling and other services for the elderly, having developed the agency’s first HR department.

Anne Wettstein

Anne Wettstein joined Human Resources Consulting in 2012 as a Human Resources Consultant. Anne’s broad-based HR support includes expertise in hourly and technical Recruitment for our clients, Job Descriptions, Employee Manuals, Pre-Screening, Offer Letter , Background/Reference Checks, On-Boarding, Implementation of HR Processes & Procedures and Ad Hoc HR management, both on-site and remotely. She also coordinates, organizes, and manages Job Fairs for clients.

Anne graduated from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul MN with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management, and a minor in Business.

In her prior full-time positions, Anne focused on recruitment for a technical service company, planned Job Fairs, utilized HRIS system, and Payroll/Benefits Administration. She also worked for a commercial contracting company in payroll and as project expediter and project support.

Nick Erler

Nick Erler joined Human Resources Consulting in 2013 as Human Resources Consultant. Nick is responsible for a variety of business support functions to include hourly and technical Recruitment, Job Descriptions, Employee Manuals, Pre-Screening, Offer Letters, Background/Reference Checks, On-Boarding, and Implementation of HR Processes & Procedures. Nick’s work flexibility allows him to assist clients, both on-site and remotely, in the area of Ad Hoc HR management and Employee Relations.

Nick graduated from UW-Oshkosh with high honors with a Bachelor of Business Administration – Human Resource Management.

In his prior full-time position, Nick served as senior recruiter for a company specializing in long-term recruitment for the industrial sector. His focus was sales and account management, full service HR support to the staff and clients, use of HRIS systems to document and track new and existing applicants, and career counseling. He also worked part-time as an HR intern while attending college.

Carsin Poole

Carsin Poole joined Human Resources Consulting in 2016 as an Administrative Assistant. Since starting Carsin has worked closely with our other HR Consultants assisting them with all recruiting aspects such as pre-screening, writing offer letters, background/reference checks and on-boarding. Carsin has played a key role in benefits enrollment, tracking of new employees and implementation of HR processes and procedures. Carsin moved up into her Human Resources Associate role in 2017. She is Proficient in all Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.

Samantha Pedersen

Samantha Pedersen joined Human Resources Consulting in 2018 as a Human Resources Assistant. Samantha has been a key resource for all our consultants with their day to day HR functions to assist our clients. Proofreading documents, creating files/formats and processes, resume screening and candidate communication to help streamline recruiting processes has been a large part of her HR admin role. Samantha is the first point of contact for our clients when they come to the office or reach out for support. She will continue to grow and assist in all areas of Recruiting, Pre-employment screenings, candidate selection and all HR generalist duties as she continues her path with HR Consulting.

Samm Graduated from UW-Green Bay with highest honors with a Bachelor of Business Administration-Human Resources Management.
