2nd Shift Press Operator (2 Openings)

Location:        Elkhart, Indiana

Due to steady growth we are looking to hire 2nd Shift Printing Press Operators. A Printing Press Operator is responsible for producing complete specialized print orders in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. Performs daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output. Works closely with other team members to exceed customer expectations.

Duties & Abilities:

  • Coordinate with the Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates
  • Participate as a key player in the Production Team by supporting operations as needed
  • Communicate effectively with the Production Team and Customer Service Team, informing and updating them regularly to ensure that both sales and customer objectives are met
  • Operate a digital or flexographic press in accordance with equipment operating procedures
  • Set up and preventative maintenance on machines before printing begins
  • Perform all press operator functions as noted on the production ticket
  • Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment
  • Setting rotary die to print registration
  • Monitors print quality during production run to ensure quality standards
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting print files for production

Skills Requirements:

  • High school or GED equivalent
  • Familiarity with flexographic or digital printing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good mathematical skills
